Laser Crown Lengthening "Durathin" veneers: Laser Crown Lengthening

Nick a 21 year old male complained that his teeth were too small with spaces between them and didn't want to show as much gum tissue when he smiled. So we needed to make larger teeth, remove some gum tissue so when he smiles you don't see as much. This was accomplished by using an ndYAG laser for the soft tissue and then an erbiumYAG laser to remove the bone to complete the procedure. This was done without a surgical flap and no sutures greatly decreasing the healing time and pain associated with conventional periodontal surgery. Since Nick wanted larger teeth it would not make sense to grind his teeth down to put porcelain veneers on them to make them larger. Therefore we did no grinding on his teeth but did "durathin" veneers which require no reduction of tooth structure. Here you see the beautiful completed case.
